Maintaining Up With The Kardashians star penned an emotional essay in response to the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and admitted she fears for the long term of her kids, North, 3, and 7-month-previous Saint. She shared: "This week we watched Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, two innocent black men, get senselessly murdered by police officers. Like a good deal of you guys, I watched the videos, and was appalled and completely heartbroken. I was left speechless, angry and numb. "I want my youngsters to develop up understanding that their lives matter. I do not ever want to have to teach my son to be scared of the police, or inform him that he has to watch his back because the folks we are told to believe in - the folks who "protect and serve" - may not be defending and serving him simply because of the colour of his skin." 

And the 35-year-old television character - who is married to Kanye West - went on to urge men and women to "peacefully use the energy of our voices" to make a change. Creating on her official website, she continued: "The last issue we need is to fuel anger with a lot more hate or violence, specifically towards the a lot of extraordinary police officers who threat their lives every single single day to safeguard our families and communities.


We must peacefully use the energy of our voices and the power of our numbers to demand alterations in the judicial system so that brutality does not ever go unpunished. "It is our accountability as Americans and as mother and father to create a protected future for our children. We must do anything now. We must communicate up until we are heard and true, effective adjustments are created.
